About ML
I have built my career on the foundation of passion, dedication, and service. Over the last two decades, I have had the privilege of collaborating with diverse stakeholders, including national and international organizations, government departments, and community structures.
- Early Advocacy: My journey began in 2002, focusing on HIV/AIDS and TB awareness during a time when stigma around these diseases was prevalent. Through activism and community mobilization, I developed a deep passion for addressing societal challenges.
- Health and Gender Activism: I have been an active advocate for health and gender-related issues, working alongside organizations like the Treatment Action Campaign (TAC), Doctors Without Borders (MSF), and Amnesty International.
- Empowering Communities: As the founder of the ML Mentorship Academy and Teenagers & Youth Health of South Africa, I have spearheaded initiatives that have trained over 500,000 young individuals in health promotion, gender equality, and entrepreneurship.
- Media Contributions: My expertise has been featured in national media platforms, including the SABC show Bonitas House Call, where I discussed critical youth health issues. I have also been a contributor to Khwezi FM’s Let’s Talk Business program, empowering audiences with business knowledge and skills.
